SAN DIEGO, CA.- La comunidad de San Diego se prepara para varios días de lluvia con la llegada de una serie de sistemas de aire frío que afectarán el condado a partir de este jueves.
Se espera que las precipitaciones comiencen en el noroeste, extiendan su cobertura durante la noche del jueves al sábado, y alcancen su punto máximo durante el viernes. Adicionalmente, se pronostican otros dos sistemas de lluvia para principios de la próxima semana.
Los totales de lluvia podrían alcanzar hasta una pulgada y media cerca de la costa y hasta dos pulgadas y media en las montañas, acompañados de un descenso en las temperaturas.
El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional advierte sobre la posibilidad de inundaciones menores en zonas bajas. Por ello, el Condado y CAL FIRE están ofreciendo sacos de arena gratuitos en varias estaciones de bomberos para que los residentes protejan sus hogares. Se recomienda a la comunidad consultar la disponibilidad y prepararse con anticipación.
